Strong For Life is a program designed specifically for the midlife woman and her needs. It will help you strengthen the muscles needed for lifelong strength so that you can continue to do the activities you enjoy such as walking, hiking, biking or gardening. It is not filled with extreme workouts that leave you feeling defeated, but workouts that leave you feeling, energetic, empowered and loving the strength you have created to know that your best is yet to come.
Looking for more? Join me for Strong for Life beginning Nov 8th for on-demand strength sessions you can do from the comfort of your home. No fancy clothes for the gym needed. Monday and Friday we will do 30 mins full body strengthening. On Tuesday and Thursday we will spend 10-15 mins using a Pilates ball for core exercises. Wednesday we will spend 20 mins focused on making sure those hips stay strong to keep you walking pain-free for years to come. Create and mold your body, gain lean muscle, lose fat, have better posture, and learn to exercise safely all from the comfort of your own home. Meet Your Instructor
Jen is wife to her high school sweetheart and a mom of 3 humans and 2 fur babies. She is a former middle and high school Spanish teacher, who combines her love of teaching with her enthusiasm for fitness, to help the busy midlife woman learn to make exercise work for her body, hormones, and schedule. As a former endurance athlete and cardio junkie, Jen spent years doing triathlons and marathons. While Jen didn’t start running until age 33, once she started, the only thing holding her back was pain. She suffered from bulging discs, anemia, and extreme joint pain because she failed to incorporate strength and stretching into her training. Today, Jen helps women of all levels gain the confidence and strength that is hidden within, from the comfort of their homes. As a triple-certified fitness expert, she shares her knowledge to help women experience the mood and energy-boosting effects of exercise and offers a variety of online, on demand, strength classes, without the extreme moves. All workouts are built around functional training and exercise sustainable for the long term, not a 30 day challenge. With functional movements, not vomit inducing burpees, the goals are for a strong, healthy, active lifestyle, filled with enjoyment and movement. Your workouts are just what I needed. I am seeing real results in my body and other positive results that make me happy. I am wearing a skirt that I haven’t worn for many summers, and I know it’s because my core is stronger, and my body is different in a good way.
I have really enjoyed the workouts. I was working out before, but I love how Jen mixed up the workouts to make them fun yet challenging. I have had trouble with ab work in the past and she has really taught me some amazing workouts to help with abs without the horrible sit-ups.
Before starting Spring into Shape program, I was not doing much activity other than walking. I always felt the need to start things at 200% and would feel sore or terrible, or not able to complete the workout and would quit. Jen guides you through the exercise at a great pace and gives you modifications if needed. The strength and core workouts are a great way to start my day and leave me feeling strong and empowered, not sore and discourage. I have been building my strength and look forward to continuing my fitness journey and making my health and wellness a priority.
I enjoy the flexibility of Jen’s workouts–I can choose when and where to log in–however it best fits my schedule. With trying to juggle the demands of family and work and life, this is a huge bonus. Another thing I really like is the “why” of Jen’s program. During the course of a workout, Jen is able to explain why she’s chosen a given exercise and how that exercise will be of benefit in the future. It makes working out have purpose–it’s not just going through the motions. Jen is a real motivator and really cares about the people she is trying to help.
I work full time and have two busy teens. Fit with Shaver workouts fit into my schedule because they are on-demand and ready when I am. They are short, efficient, and effective. Less truly is truly more! I love the extra strength and energy that I have gained (along with the extra pounds I have lost).
I have enjoyed the workouts. The FREE classes that I participated in got me back into the gym.
